Choosing the Right Car
How to determine what car best suits your needs

The more you know about yourself and what really matters to you, the easier it is to find the car that fits. Here are some basic questions to consider:

1. Will you be the only person driving the car?

2. Will you use your car more for highway or city driving?

3. Do you plan to take a lot of long road trips?

4. Do you often drive on unpaved roads?

5. Will you regularly need your car to carry or haul heavy loads?

6. Do you need a car that will fit in a tight parking space (either at home or at work)?

7. Will you often carry passengers (people or pets), or are you involved in a hobby such as cycling, skiing, camping or golf which will mean packing special/bulky equipment?

8. Are you attached or single?

9. Do you have a family, or do you plan to start one in the near future?

10. Is your car’s appearance so important to you that you would pay extra for custom styling options and possibly, pay more for insurance coverage as a result?

11. Would you pay extra for optional safety features? The cost of some of these may be partially offset by lower insurance rates.

12. If you had to choose a car simply on the basis of either fuel economy or prestige, which would you pick?

13. In what ways do you imagine your lifestyle may change three years from now?
